Due to the pandemic, in March 2020, non-essential volunteers were not allowed into the hospitals. Today the hospital requires that volunteers be fully vaccinated and at least two weeks from the second shot. A week later, I attended my first Yoga Nidra (sleep-based meditation) class. My spirit was overwhelmed with grief from the possibility of losing my mother as I lay down on my yoga mat to enter this practice.
